( MODESTO , California ) Prudential California Realty (PCR) hosted a Grand Opening celebration to officially launch its new office location at 464 E. Yosemite Avenue, Suite A in Merced . The event was held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 4:00-7:00pm at the new Merced office.

Scott A. Oliver cut the ribbon with Ellie Wooten, Mayor of Merced, at the Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting. A wide variety of food, beverage and desserts were provided by Toni’s Courtyard Café.  The event was attended by Craig C. Lewis, president and CEO of PCR, several Chamber of Commerce members, members of the Merced Sun-Star, and about 120 real estate agents, lenders, coordinators and PCR managers and executives. The new office is a full service real estate company housing residential, commercial, fine homes, and agriculture/ranch departments as well as Wolverine Property Management, Sylvan Transaction Services, and Guarantee Pacific Mortgage as the in-house lender.

The new office features newer paint, artwork, décor, exterior signage and exterior landscaping. It is equipped with a conference/training room, signing room, full kitchen, professional male and female restrooms, storage room, file room and access to about 30-40 parking spaces. There are 48 cubicles within the office and 10 deluxe office quarters. The new office is in a prime Merced location with close proximity to Starbucks, restaurants, shopping, the Merced Junior College and the new UC Merced campus.

The Grand Event also featured random drawings throughout the event. Prizes were awarded six individuals from local lending offices. The items won were an Italian gift basket, a coffee gift basket, a silk plant, two vases from Pier 1 Imports, and a golf pass for two at the Diablo Golf Course. Prize donations were provided by Guarantee Pacific Mortgage/Wells Fargo and local title companies.
