PRUDENTIAL CALIFORNIA REALTY AGENTS BRING SMILES TO RAY OF HOPE CHILDREN
(MODESTO, California) Prudential California Realty agents at the West Lane, Stockton office and Cherokee Lane, Lodi office as well as the Manteca office donated over 60 presents to underprivileged children as part of their continuing sponsorship of the Ray of Hope program in the community. Making the holidays merrier is another way PCR agents participate with the Ray of Hope Kids Foundation in the Stockton, Lodi and Manteca areas throughout the year.
The Ray of Hope foundation started in 2000 and strives to meet the needs of children and families in need. Through a large community base of volunteers, corporate support and more, Ray of Hope has been able to provide lifes basic human needs to children throughout San Joaquin County. Ray of Hope utilizes programs to help assist our community's neediest children.
Ray of Hope's Babies in Crisis Program
This program offers the basic essentials to children 0-5 years of age. The target population for this program is homeless and or impoverished children at high risk of not having their basic human needs met. The Babies in Crisis Program aims to provide children housing, clothing, food, diapers, formula, health insurance and more through a referral program with Child Protective Services, local hospitals, pediatricians, local schools and law enforcement.
The one-on-one meetings between parent, child and Ray of Hope staff provide a comprehensive need assessment and allow for appropriate service referrals to be made. Our home visitation and our site placement process (i.e. if a child is homeless, Ray of Hope will dispatch staff to assess the needs wherever the child is at the time of referral) allows Ray of Hope staff to have a clear picture of the living conditions of the child at risk, assuring a thorough qualification process as well as a concise picture of the childs true needs.
Ray of Hope's Student Success Program
The Student Success Program brings education back into the household by offering the necessities needed to help students thrive in school. This program works to provide school clothes, supplies, hygiene items, medical insurance, food, and counseling to keep children healthy, self-assured and focused students. With the help of teachers, counselors, local school districts and campus security, children living at or below the federal poverty level can receive assistance. In addition to basic necessities, the Student Success Program also provides an opportunity for children to discuss their positive and negative happenings at school or home, brainstorm problem solving and celebrate achievement. This program has proven to increase school attendance and graduation.
